Swee Garden Restaurant, Kuching

Now, this particular restaurant my family usually frequent for occasions. Like recently, we had our christmas dinner there. My maternal grandmother, my parents, my brother, my wife and I with our little bundle of joy had some chinese dishes. The cook and owner originally has his place at another location but now he opens his own restaurant.

See Cucumber Soup

Egg Noodle

The famous 'Midin' dish stir-fried garlic

Sweet and Sour Deep Fried Grouper Fish

Fried Onion Chicken

Yam Basket with Mix Vegetables

Food is delicious and great. Of course they have the roasted pork / piglet which we couldnt order because its a big dish.

Verdict: Great food with affordable prices. Apart from a few other places in town (which i will blog about in the future) this is one good places to dig in and have great food! The location of the place is as follow:

Swee Garden,
Jalan Mendu,
93200 Kuching, Sarawak.

Kuching, the City of Cats

I, for one is proud to have been born in the City of Kuching. The age of the city is now around 185 years old, founded by Pangiran Indera Mahkota, a representative of Bruneian Sultanate. Well, it has gone a long way from then. Read more on this wikipedia page.

Located at the western part of Borneo Island in the state of Sarawak, one of the 13 states that made up the Federation of Malaysia. I stayed there almost all of my growing up years until I went to further my studies.

A nice place to live but now the traffic conditions can be a hassle (of course not as bad as KL). Food IS FANTASTIC. Kolo mee, Sarawak laksa, Kueh Chap, etc etc etc.....no wonder i put on weight everytime i come back.

Along the way i will provide some info on the places of interest in Kuching and Sarawak including where to stay and also where to dig in on the best foods in town. Thanks!

Journey to Senai

Started at around 8:30 am. Took us 3 hours and 30 mins to reach Senai. the distance is around 316 km from KL. Travelling along the highway can be tiring even as a passenger. It rained from time to time as we approach JB. We went on to the event we have to attend.

What struck me the most is when me and my collegue went to the Senai Airport. It is not the same airport i remember 14 years ago.

The Gate we waited for the plane

So much changes for the airport. Can't recognise it anymore. ^^ The plane arrived on time and we left for the short trip across to KLIA before going home.

Since I travel all over the place in Malaysia and probably in Indonesia in the near future, I though I might as well blog about the places I stay, the places I visited and interesting info about food, places to visit and maybe some quirky info ^^
